A lifetime appreciation of art has always driven me forward...a passion for beauty keeps me here
Even when I was little I was always busy with exciting activities. I had
the choice between soccer, piano, and art classes...and it was a tough
choice to make, I loved them all but all three was just too much. I was
not physically coordinated enough, so there went soccer...I was
uninspired when it came to practicing, so there went the piano...but I
always loved to draw and create, so I held on to my art classes.
My
love of arts and crafts was nurtured by my amazing mother. She made
almost all of my Halloween costumes, we made my hair ties, and even my
everyday dresses. Every holiday my mom let me set the table, decorate
the cookies, and place the decorations around the house. She gave me the
foundation that my passion grew from and has been there supporting me
every day since.
I took art classes all through middle school and high school. These
classes created a passion for painting, drawing, photography, cooking,
jewelry making, and so much more. My love of art inspired me to peruse
art into college. I graduated cum lade with a BFA in Interior Design
from San Jose State University. With taking classes in art history,
color theory, graphic design, 3D concepts, and my interior design
classes; I was able to appreciate the visual world around me with a
better understanding and appreciation. There are so many beautiful
things to draw inspiration from, it is important to be able to see it
when you come across it. I can not wait to share with you what it is
that inspires me.
